The School by Mika is a one-of-a-kind makeup studio offering short term makeup courses, as well as one on one tutorials taught by highly skilled and experienced industry makeup artists. Designed for those interested in an introduction to the field or those who simply have a passion for makeup, our courses range from basic lessons for beginners who are interested in enhancing their own skills to more advanced workshops for professional with an interest in their continued growth of their craft and marketability. With the perfect combination of artistic and academic background, The School by Mika believes in providing our students with a comfortable and intimate environment that will encourage creativity and individuality.

THE MAKEUP COURSE: BASIC
This is an introductory class for beginner makeup students. You will learn the basics in eye makeup application (natural to smokey) eyebrow shapes, false lashes, foundation, concealer, skincare, blush, contour and highlighting, and lips.

THE TEEN MAKEUP COURSE: ADVANCED
This is a more advanced makeup course for teens. This class builds upon the skills learnt in The Basic course. They will learn how to do their makeup for a special events like Grad or Prom. This is a great course for teens thinking about a career in makeup artistry or fashion. There is a strong emphasis on expression of individuality and creativity.
This is a 6 week course, once a week. Cost $120 plus GST

THE ONE-ON-ONE TUTORIAL
This is a chance for you to customize your class! One-on-one instruction is $40/hr plus GST.
THE PROFESSIONAL SEMINARS
These seminars are designed for students who would like to become makeup artist but are unsure if they want to commit to a full-time certificate/diploma program. These seminars allow you to work on a model to get a feel for what it would be like to be a makeup artist.
Each seminar is offered once a month, 6 hour per seminar. Cost $180 per seminar plus GST or buy the series of 4 for $600 plus GST (saving $120.00). * Model required.

The Asian Eye Workshop: Learn how to do makeup on Asian Eyes. In this workshop you will learn how to do a natural look and a smokey eye look. There will be a strong emphasis on products and colors that work best for asian eyes.
